Recently, GCOMM has had the honour of being a part of one of the most successful managed IT services implementation projects with its partner, Transcom Technology.
Mr Brook Papworth, Director of Transcom Technology, and Steve Cannard, GCOMM’s Infrastructure Deployment Manager, have shared the responsibility of designing, implementing and managing the IT and Internet infrastructure of the recently launched Tweed Heads GP Superclinic.
As a managed services provider, GCOMM, had the pleasure of working with the doctors of the clinic, who have chosen the best quality products and services. The IT systems have been designed to meet the high communication and information technology standards required by a modern medical facility. This includes redundant, high-speed fibre for the connectivity, as well as enterprise grade HP and Cisco products in the server room, which represents the best of breed solution that will enable utmost efficiency for the clinic.
“It has been one of the most well-designed and implemented projects that I have personally seen in 20 years of working in the IT industry and is a credit to the doctors who operate the clinic and to our partner, Mr. Papworth from Transcom Technology”, shared Mr. Cannard.
The clinic was opened in June by a former Minister for Health, Tanya Plibersek, and Richmond MP, Justine Elliot. It offers integrated patient-centered care that is responsive to the local community needs. The goal of the clinic is to provide its community members with access to a range of high-quality health services at one convenient location, which will in part be made possible by the newly implemented IT system.
This project was a great and exciting experience for GCOMM. The company is looking forward to future cooperation with both Transcom Technology, its valued partner, and Tweed Heads GP Superclinic.
